Friends of the River is hiring a
Community and Communications Manager
This is an exciting time to join Friends of the River as we launch our new strategic plan (available to applicants we interview) and add several staff to build on nearly fifty years of experience and success in protecting and restoring hundreds of miles of rivers in California. The coming years present tremendous opportunities and challenges for water. We’ll only succeed with extraordinary people and relentless execution.

Friends of the River seeks a thoughtful and creative Communications Manager to tell our story, build our brand, promote our leadership on issues, and expand our base of support.

This person will lead implementation of an external communications strategy that engages audiences to take measurable action, such as donating and grassroots activism, through social media, a new website (under development), print materials, and news outlets. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with strong written and verbal communications skills and a proven ability to produce high-quality content that engages constituents and fosters brand recognition.
