FYI: Want to see what local social change looks like? Better yet, you can participate and vote on your preferred scenario for the Fresno Blackstone Avenue Corridor.
Fresno Metro Ministry’s "Better Blackstone" project is in partnership with the City of Fresno, Caltrans, the Fresno Council of Governments and six local architect and design firms on The Better Blackstone Design Challenge. This project is a collaborative urban design project aimed at increasing interest and investment along Blackstone Avenue – “The Spine of Fresno."
You are invited to attend an exciting event on Tuesday, December 8th via Zoom-–The Better Blackstone Design Challenge Virtual Community Open House–where we will be reviewing our team’s proposed design scenarios for the Blackstone Corridor and sharing them with the community for input and feedback.
Attached, please find the Better Blackstone brochure and event flyers, both in English and Spanish, with more information about the event and registration details.

“In the open spaces of democracy, we are listening – ears alert – we are watching – eyes open – registering the patterns and possibilities for engagement. Some acts are private; some are public. Our oscillations between local, national, and global gestures map the full range of our movement. Our strength lies in our imagination, paying attention to what sustains life, rather than what destroys it. ”Terry Tempest Williams
