FMBCC is hiring a Capital Access Manager

Fresno Metro Black Chamber of Commerce (FMBCC) is a community-based organization that engages, educates and empowers the Black business community in the San Joaquin Valley. Headquartered in Fresno, the Executive Administrative Coordinator (AC) is responsible for being the primary point of contact for the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the organization. As an internal resource reporting directly to the CEO, the CAM pays strong attention-to-detail, has excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a high level of discretion which are all integral to helping small businesses obtain the capital they need to start, grow, and scale their businesses. The CAM will share loan opportunities with entrepreneurs, local stakeholders, and partners as well as help provide back office support for the loan and technical assistance processes. The CAM will have responsibility for all borrower-facing relationships in the service area and will be expected to grow the pipeline and number of loans closed. The CAM will work with internal and external team members to accomplish objectives as set by the CEO and ensure tasks are delivered in a professional manner. This includes cross-functional tasks working with business owners, members, donors, exhibitors, sponsors, and other community-based organizations.

The ideal CAM is comfortable being independent, a critical thinker, not afraid to ask questions, very organized, employs excellent time management skills, is very communicative, comfortable working with all kinds of people, and is good at public speaking, events, and managing partnerships. The CAM has 5 years of experience working in a fast-paced and customer-facing environment with a strong work ethic, passion, honesty, integrity, mission-driven, self-directed, and making the most of time in the office.

Expertise includes:

· Microfinance and small business technical assistance

· Banking, Finance, Wealth building, Counseling

· Government or Nonprofit management

· Familiarity with the Fresno County market

· Conversational Spanish or other language prevalent in the community is a plus

Job Duties Include:

· Partnership & Community Development (25% of time) – Cultivate a community of economic development and small business lending

· Manage Local Borrower Experience (30% of time)

Provide pre-loan and post-loan technical assistance (35%)

Prepare statements, reports, memos, letters, and other documents (10%)

Education Required: · Four-year college or university degree in Business, Finance, Marketing or Communications is preferred; an equivalent combination of two-year education and experience may be substituted for a degree – OR – Current enrollment in a 4 year degree program(in final year).

· Additional industry certifications are a plus.
