Internships: Opportunities with El Dorado Park CDC

Posted On 14 September, 2020

Last day to register for a Fall 2020 SOC185I Internship Class is Wednesday, 9/16/2020.

These positions are eligible for either the Fall 2020 or Spring 2021 semester.

The MISSION of El Dorado Park Community Development Corporation is to "enhance resident assets for positive community change."
EDP CDC has been working through the covid pandemic with residents to distribute food to the neighborhood on a weekly basis in partnership with the Poverello House, and Metro Ministry’s Food to Share Program.

EDP CDC is currently developing a community garden in an empty lot that we just acquired, and Ms. Jackie Holmes (Board President) is also working on acquiring a larger community building to better serve the neighborhood, District 4, and the Fresno community in general.

EDP CDC has an extensive network of partnerships that include Fresno Police Department (FPD), Wesley Church Food Pantry, the City of Fresno, United Farm Workers, and the list goes on.

This internship presents a great opportunity for any Humanics scholar to network in the Fresno community.

We look forward to working with one or more interns from Fresno State!
