AmeriCorps Members (interns) will receive a monthly stipend of $1,600. This is a one year or 11-month commitment and upon completing their term (1,700 hours or 35 hours a week for one year) they are eligible for a $10,000 education grant. This grant can be used to pay off student loans or for future education expenses. They have 7 years to use it and it can be applied to vocational, regular university, or grad school. Applicants do not have to be students to apply for this position, however, the $10,000 education grant does not go directly to members it goes directly to the institute of their choosing.

We also encourage anyone over the age of 55 to apply. They can choose to give the education grant to their children, upon completing 1,700 hours of service. Please let me know if you have any questions I can help answer.
