Attract and Retain the Best Qualified Employees in 2020 and Beyond:

Participate in Fair Pay for Northern California Nonprofits: The 2020 Compensation & Benefits Survey, the Best Survey of Its Kind

This past year, 614 community benefit organizations participated in the 2019 survey, reporting on more than 33,000 jobs and making it the largest and most robust in the survey’s 41-year history.

80% of the 2019 survey’s participants (up from 77% in 2018) see hiring challenges in the year ahead, and they foresee increased competition from their colleagues and businesses to attract and retain qualified and high-performing employees.

Your organization will need the wealth of information produced by the 2020 survey to compete effectively on this ever-changing playing field, including valuable information about compensation, base pay, employee benefits, salary increases, personnel policies, as well as data that larger CBOs can use to justify to the IRS the compensation they pay their executive employees.

This annual survey is published by Oakland-based Nonprofit Compensation Associates. The survey covers a vast geographic area, 48 Northern California counties, from Del Norte County in the far northwest to Inyo County in the far southeast.
