JOB TITLE: FT Community Organizer
OBJECTIVE: The Community Organizer plays a key role in increasing residents’ likelihood for action to achieve life-changing goals for themselves, their families and their communities. The purpose of the Community Organizer is to community capacity internally and across the community through resident leadership and engagement strategies as they relate to the Achieve-Strategic Direction. The Community Organizer will support resident/community engagement including but not limited to the following types/forms/levels of engagement: (1) Information, (2) Consultation, (3) Involvement, (4) Collaboration, and (5) Empowerment, as described in the CHW Resident-Engaged Communities plan.
JOB TITLE: PT After School Program Group Leader
OBJECTIVE: The After School Program Group Leader’s primary role is to support the daily operation and facilitation of the on-site Study Star after school program. The Group Leader works to reach all program goals and objectives set for the year by the CHW Achieve department, as well as, meets all program service delivery requirements. After School Program Group Leaders are directly supervised by the (Associate Director of Programs/Associate Director of Partnerships/Sr. CBC).
About Parks at Fig Gardens Community: The Parks at Fig Gardens is located in the Williams neighborhood in Central Fresno. The Parks at Fig Gardens serves 366 apartment units and nearly 1,000 residents. Amenities include a clubhouse, sports court, fitness center, computer lab, laundry facilities, greenspaces, two playgrounds, outdoor seating and barbecue areas. The neighborhood and community have long faced economic and social challenges due to low wages, job growth, poverty and safety. Currently identified as a revitalization neighborhood, the community aims to improve the living conditions, public safety and the overall quality of life of its residents.
