Faith In the Valley-Fresno County Assembly and Belong training, Monday, May 13th, 6 pm

Posted On 2 May, 2019

Dear Faith in the Valley-Fresno leaders:

We are excited to invite you to our quarterly all-leaders assembly and
training on *Monday, May 13th, at 6pm*! We will be meeting at St. James
Episcopal, 4147 E. Dakota Ave.

There is a ton going on right now – including promising updates to bring
Advance Peace to Fresno, and our community having a voice in the selection
of our next Fresno Police Chief – and we are excited to hear updates from
across our teams. In addition, a group of our Fresno County leaders joined
a 3-day training in Oakland last month called the “Belong Symposium”, where
they learned new strategies for how we can invite, listen to and “bridge”
more of our neighbors and communities in to real relationship with each
other across race, faith, and other differences. This is in attempt to not
just get stuck in individual issues and campaigns (as important as each of
those are and will continue to be), but hopefully more and more
understanding the value in showing up for one another across those issues
and campaigns. That group who received initial training will be excited to
share out and train you on May 13th on how you can consider inviting your
congregations and neighbors in to this conversation.

Please let us know if you can join us and if you’re able to bring anyone
with you, so that we can order food accordingly!

In Community,
Andy
