Humanics Internship: Fresno State Alumni Association

Posted On 20 December, 2018

This semester has been very successful in many ways. First off, I was able to get an internship with Fresno State’s Alumni Association. My internship advisor was Peter Robertson, who has taught me a lot this semester. This has been a great experience because I have had a glimpse of what it is like to run a University. The main purpose of my internship was to research how to fundraise and sustain a live mascot program. It took a lot of work and dedication, but I was able to come up with a project that assessed other university’s best practices that will help our program to be more successful. I feel through this experience I have established a great relationship with not only the Alumni association at Fresno State, but also a bond with the First Lady, Mary Castro. It has been an honor getting to know the First Lady because she has supported me during my whole Fresno State Career. I have been given the opportunity to network and establish great relationships with many people. Through the Humanics Program at Fresno State I have been able to garner relationship with many prestigious people in our community. This has boosted my confidence in many ways. Also, this program has helped me find my way in life. Thank you Fresno State.
