Dear Matthew,

“Sharing what you have been given” has been the mission of the Whitney
Foundation since its inception by the late Kathryn Whitney Stephens nearly
two decades ago. The foundation has carried out its mission in three
communities: California’s Central Valley; Boise, Idaho; and Salt Lake City,
Utah. As the Foundation has now sunset, it has distributed its assets in
creative methods in order to continue the legacy the founder established.

Topics Include:

– Building an authentic relationship between funder and partner
– How a foundation fulfills it’s mission through it’s partners
– Why the founder’s investment policies should matter
– The challenge of building a legacy based on the founder’s values
– Endowments and matching grants
