Resources for Independence Central Valley (www.ricv.org) is recruiting for
the position of Work Readiness Independent Living Specialist (W.R.I.L.).
This part-time, on-call, non-exempt position is located in our Visalia
office. Travel is required in the Kings and Tulare County area. This
position does not include benefits and workweek hours range from up to 10
to 20 hours.

The W.R.I.L. Specialist is responsible for assisting persons with
disabilities referred from the Regional Center to receive appropriate
services, which will prepare them for competitive employment. They are
responsible for supporting consumers as they identify their goals related
to work, develop a work readiness independent living plan and set goals,
encourage consumer’s as they grow towards a greater independence. This
includes assessment facilitation, case staffing, grassroots advocacy,
developing curriculum and activities and maintenance of required
paperwork. Services will take place in the consumer’s home, in the
community or at the RICV office. The successful candidate for this
position will have strong written and verbal communication skills, the
ability to use the Microsoft Office suite of products to complete tasks and
assignments and be able to function as a key member of a team. Persons with
