*Position Description**:* West Fresno Family Resource Center offers
internship opportunities, providing students with real-life, hands-on
experiences for promoting optimal health and well-being in the underserved
community of Southwest Fresno. Selected candidate(s) will provide program
support in the administration, coordination, implementation and evaluation
of health education, health promotion programs for at-risk populations –
youth and/or adults.

*Hours/Days:* 150 Hours total, to be arranged, starting June 18, 2018

*Award:* $1,750 Scholarship, payable in mid-September through the Community
Service Scholarship Program.

*Majors:* Public Health, Food Science/Nutrition, Sociology, Social Work,
Business or other related fields – preference 3rd or 4th year undergrad or
grad student.

Qualifications: Ability to perform at least 12 hours per week;
Demonstrated, professional interest in working with neighborhood-based,
grassroots organization; Ability and willingness to be culturally sensitive
and appropriate; Ability to work within a team context; Exhibits basic
office and general computer proficiency including Word, Excel, Access,
PowerPoint and Publisher; Strong organizational, oral and written
communication skills; Possess and maintain valid California driver’s
license and auto insurance; Perform related duties as assigned.

Financial Aid Summary; and look at Remaining Need amount. This must be at
least $1750 or higher to earn the scholarship. If not, you might be able to
increase your Remaining Need by reducing or declining one or more loan

Coordinator and Career Counselor, to register for the Community Service
Scholarship Program before beginning your hours.
